On February 4, 2000, Paige Lauren Barnett passed away unexpectedly at the age of 18 months. In hopes of creating something positive from their tragedy, Paige's parents, Kent Barnett and Lauren Heath, partnered with Horizons for Youth to create On Cloud Nine with Paige's Angels. The event is held annually on the first Saturday of February to honor Paige and to raise scholarship funds for Horizons for Youth students in her memory. Now in its eighth year, On Cloud Nine with Paige’s Angels has established itself as one of the premier charity celebrations in Chicago. Since On Cloud Nine with Paige’s Angels began in 2001, we have raised a total of over $1 million dollars in gross revenue. Net proceeds have exceeded $940,000, providing more than 300 scholarships for deserving students. None of this would be possible without the vision and commitment of the Barnett family and the ongoing involvement of our countless supporters. In 2008, we hope to raise another $200,000, which will fund even more student scholarships in Paige’s name. The eighth annual On Cloud Nine with Paige’s Angels will be held on February 2, 2008 at Chicago’s Adler Planetarium. We would love to see you there!
